Support Group

A key element in a patient's recovery and well being as they embark on their weight loss surgery journey is one of support. While many patients have a substantial support system of family and friends present within their lives, it is often helpful to have an external outlet to meet and share stories with others who have gone through the same weight loss experience. To facilitate this group healing the National Bariatric Center™ facilitates a monthly support group where patients can get together and help one another.

The Sky Ridge Bariatric Surgery Support Group is free to those who have had their surgery at Sky Ridge with Dr. Frank Chae. Sessions are run by our Registered Dietician Kelly Elliot of Bariatric Nutrition Resources. We average 20-30 participants each month and we would love to have you join us.

Support Group Dates 2011

Our group meets in the Spine & Total Joint Center Lobby the second Thursday of the month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Registration is not needed and we look forward to meeting you.
